Just a heads up on a quality wall mount for display panels. Costco sells the Sanus VMPL product for $135, almost 50% off the $250 MSRP. Costco only sells it online. For a limited time, July 4 thru July 10, you can get an add’l $35 off the price of that quality wall mount…
$100!!! The same wall mount sells for $250 (MSRP) at Best Buy, or other places online for about $150+s/h…and shipping isn’t cheap for this item.
This wall mount is heavy, about 20-lbs. You can tilt the plasma/LCD with the touch of a finger and it stays there. Or you can lock it down. Also, and this is a biggie, the Sanus wall mounts and stands for plasmas/LCDs are UL approved. A lot of panel mounting products (stands, wall mounts) aren’t. UL’s approval is a significant attribute to these products. I would
never buy a floor stand, table stand, or wall mount for a plasma/LCD that is not UL approved.
Costco does not charge shipping for the stuff they sell online. If you’re not happy with the product, return it at any Costco store. They do collect sells tax for online orders, same as if you bought it at a local Costco store. I believe non-members pay an add’l 5% for on-line orders. Also, you need to be patient. It once took me 3-1/2 weeks to receive something I ordered from Costco online.
I am not affiliated with Costco, Sanus, or gravity – the mortal enemy of all plasmas and LCD panels. This is just an excellent product that will be available at a great price. If you are in the market for a wall mount, or if you think you will have a need for one in the near future, I suggest snagging one of these critters during that weeklong sale. If it’s not what you were expecting, take it to any Costco and they will give you handful of cash, won’t cost you a dime.
