i pre-drilled two of the holes for mounting my speaker too big and the screw is getting snug.
Is there anything that I can fill this hole up with to pre drill a smaller hole.

screw must be in this spot or speaker will not be strait.

Epoxy putty. It fills gaps and rebuilds holes. It's sandable and drillable when cured. It sets in about 5 minutes, and is fully cured after 45 minutes.

I have some sold by Loctite, but there are many other brands.

If the hole only needs tightening, try pushing a match stick in before screwing.

I always go with a couple of toothpicks tap them in to fill the hole cut off flush with utility knife and send the screw home again.:)

I would drill it larger and epoxy a brass threaded insert so you can use a machine screw. Lowes and Home Depot have them.

Option number two is to buy some oak dowel rod, drill the hole larger so that the dowel rod is very slightly over sized compared to the new hole, add glue and tap dowel in with a hammer. When the glue dries, redrill the hole to the correct size.
