Does anybody know a good way to fix (as much as possible) scratches and blemishes on CDs?

If you can find the type of polishing pads that are used to remove fine scratches from glass (like a watch face) that would be the best - they are effectively very very fine sandpaper (4000 grit) and are used by jewelers. There are various cremes that are sold in record stores and places like Best Buy, but I don't know exactly what they contain.

DO NOT use something like 'Disc Doctor' that actually resurfaces the CD.

I'll try finding that product. I'll try it on a CD I don't like first ;)

Try it on a BLANK CD. :D

I found some stuff from Meguairs that is plastic polish for removing scratches from plastic head/tail lamp covers and it seems to work pretty well for that. I haven't tried it on CDs, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. The bad news is, you may need both the cleaner and polish. link.

I've seen a few "disc doctored" discs....they didn't work anymore. I wouldn't recommend it either.
