One important detail that nobody has picked up on...the Onkyo TX-SR705 does not have multi-channel pre-outs. How is the OP going to send the signal to the amp?

Sorry for the dumb question, but will the Outlaw 2200 be compatible with a Yamaha RX-V740 receiver? I know the Yamaha has preouts for external amps but am not sure how I would go about hooking it up. Would I just plug say the left main preout on the Yamaha into the unbalanced input on the Outlaw?

thanks for the info

Amp Options

FYI,
The 705 does have the pre-amp outs. The 605, however, does not.

For a budget stereo amp to experiment with, consider a Behringer A500 for <$200 shipped to power your mains. I have the entry level Emotiva LPA-1 and also recommend their products. The amp is driving my 4 ohm Onix Ref speakers and a couple channels power a distributed audio system.

They should have the 7 channel LPA-2 and the 5x200 Watt XPA amp out in February. Looks like the XPA will be $799.

They list it as having multi-channel input. Their picture of the back panel showed one set of multi-channel RCA's but was too small to see that they had erroneously called them inputs in the description instead of pre-outs.

My apologies to all.

For a 200 wpc x 5 ch amp, you just can't beat $800! Especially coming from Emotiva.
