first system, lot of questions

hi everyone! Daniele form Finland here
i think is time now to upgrade my system this winter, and i´m starting to understand what i´m going to do.

first of all, the room is 14x12, tv and sofa are on the 12 side, right side is like 10/11.
my goal is to create all the system from nothings, buying speakers, making crossover and loud speakers.

currently i have a 47" sony tv with a small sony 5.1 HT

the idea was to build a 2 way on all channel, tweeter + 2 midwoofer (4"/5" maybe) and the center with 4 midwoofer. i dont know now how will be the sub

i have a pc as media center, an internet tv box and a bluray to attach at the system

i cant wait to start!

You mean you want to build your own speakers from scratch using various drivers and build and design your own crossovers and box? Or following an established design? Will the crossovers be passive or active? Sounds like something that should be in the DIY subforum...http://forums.audioholics.com/forums/audio/diy-corner-tips-techniques.22/

I can't tell if you're putting a system together and buying speakers or if you're building your own...

Maybe define what you mean by system as I am also still not clear on your intentions...
