I use a HTPC for nearly all my video and audio playing and I currently use some Logitech Z5500s. I like them alright but I'd like to get a more serious about my audio which means it's time to invest in a receiver. I'm new to all of this but after reading around I've narrow my choices down to the denon avr-1912 and the onkyo tx-nr609, but I'm open to any other suggestions. They're basically the same price and offer many similar features. Both are network receivers and both offer wireless (with an adapter in onkyo's case). The main difference, as far as my untrained eye can tell, is that the onkyo has better up-conversion( not so important to me) and the denon has better room correction, android support and airplay. My plan is to build a system around this that I'll use for HD video, gaming and a ton of music. I'm curious to hear others impressions about the advantages and disadvantages of each receiver. I'm pretty indifferent right now as to which one I want to get. Right now I'd probably just go for which ever was cheaper. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
