First post and a 3805 question

Greetings to all ! I stumbled on this site a few months ago and quite frankly, the reviews here shaped my audio components purchase decisions ! Thanks for that

I have a denon 3805 and recently my 2 year old was exploring the setups without adult suprevision. As a result, I found that the console display would turn off a few seconds after startup, changing volume etc. It used to stay on all the time. How do I make it stay on as before ?

Did you check to see if it's set on "pure direct?" That's the only thing I can come up with off the top of my head that would allow you to see the display for a few moments, then shut it off. I also have a 3805 and the only time the display goes off is if I put it in pure direct. That may not be the reason, but it's the only thing I can think of at the time. Hope that helps.

Yeh

what the above poster said or the dimmer is set to low. This will cause the light to display when changing volume or fuctions, then black out again after a few seconds.
