Strong Eagle Enthusiast Aug 7, 2024 14 0 1 76 May 12, 2025 #1 My new sub arrived Saturday afternoon. WHAT A BEAST! Setup the sub per SVS get started instructions. Reran my Sony STR AN1000 calibration setup again and tweaked a little bit. Then tried the first track of Darkside of the Moon. Damn! It rattles the dishes in the kitchen cabinets. I've got a bit more calibrating to do. As you can see, this sub just barely fits into my built in cabinetry (with a half inch cut to a cabinet lip). I've noticed a bit of "boominess" around 50 Hz but overall seems to work very well. I had my old DefTech sub there and had to put foam around it to attenuate resonance. FWIW - this room is 16 feet wide, 12 feet to the sitting/listening area from the front, about 17 feet to the kitchen area, then the kitchen is about 13 feet... 30 feet total... a room with a length about twice the width. If you don't have Atmos, it will still sound great. Slightly different than the SACD version.
