Pretty new to everything as I've only ever had the home theater-in-a-box from Samsung. I'm looking to get some new equipment, but just had a few questions. My budget is around $5000 and I'm just using the equipment to play music, video games, and movies in an apartment. The equipment I've selected are as follows:

Yamaha Aventage RX-A2070 (Receiver)
Klipsch Speakers:
2 Reference R-112SW (Subwoofers)
2 Reference R-26FA (Floor Standing Dolby Atmos)
2 Reference Premier RP-150M (Bookshelf Speakers)
1 Reference Premier RP-440C (Center Speaker)

1. Is there any downside to mixing the floor standing Atmos enabled speakers with the other non-Atmos?
2. Is the receiver capable of powering the entire system? If not, is there something else you'd recommend?
3. Are there any other accessories that I should think about purchasing other than what comes in the boxes (i.e.,different cables, speaker wires, plugs)

Also, any general advice you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

My first recommendation would be to look elsewhere for your subs. Klipsch is known for their speakers. Their subs? Not so much. You'll find much better value and quality with companies who specialize in subwoofers such as SVS, Hsu, Rythmik and a couple more I'm forgetting. SVS makes nice looking subs that dig very deep, but you're paying for some cosmetics. You'll get your best bang for buck with Hsu, IMO.

Klipsch makes fairly sensitive speakers and the yammy shouldn't have any trouble driving them.

I'll leave the dolby atmos question to the guys who actually have it. :p

There are no down-sides to mixing Atmos speakers with non-Atmos. However, I would take a close look at how well your seating area and ceiling height will fit Dolby's recommendations for Atmos speakers. Read through this guide. If your seating position vs the speaker placement isn't optimal, don't bother with Atmos. Just get two solid front speakers.

The Klipsch sub is so-so, but you are in an apartment so its not like you can really use a good sub anyway. I would not spend a lot on a subwoofer in your situation. That being said, the aforementioned brands that Pogre suggested are very good.

That Yamaha receiver should be more than adequate to power that system in an apartment.

All the accessories and cables you need should be purchased from bluejeanscable.com or monoprice.com. Do not buy cables and accessories from stores like BestBuy- the markup is ridiculous, it can cost many times what you need to pay for items, especially if it is from Monster cable, which is no better than generic cable.
