Indeed, although as soon as I took off the lens cap, the glass fogged up. Had to wait a bit for it to clear up, and then clean it.

Here's my video of the grand finale of the NYC fireworks taken from the Hoboken side of the Hudson River. Taken from iPhone so obviously not great quality, but still impressive.
