Finishing RG6 cable to RCA

I have a finishing question. My brother in-law, who used to install HTs, and I prewired my HT during the construction of my house. He is not good about getting back to me with anything, so I thought I would ask anyone here.

We prewired for subs in several areas with RG6 cable. How do you finish these out for use with subs? I want to try to get some things done before he comes back up to help me out.

Sorry, I did some internet research after posting. Found some crimp on connectors and solder connectors. I only have about 12 connectors to put on and the crimping tools seem kind of expensive ($60-$70). So maybe solder would be morre cost efficient. Or I could always do the buy, use and return to Home Depot trick, but that just seems wrong.

Well, "F" type crimpers are cheaper...

...and "F" to RCA converters aren't expensive, either monetarily or acoustically, so that's an option.

It also allows you to use standard wall plates and have spare RF runs for cable, OTA and the like as well.

There are several ways to do it.

If you are terminating everything behind the wall, and having wall plates, then terminate to a 'F' connection type and get a wall plate that has 'F' on one side, and 'RCA' on the other side.

Like this:

If you want to actually terminate to RCA you can get the compression tool for about 30 bucks and the RCA ends for about 2 bucks each.

I have used these with excellent results.
