Finally went digital, I hope it's a good idea

Well, I finally broke down and decided to go digital because I have found myself watching more and more movies and dish programming, also my DVR from dish has DD processing. Anyway, I went with the HK AVR110, I got it for a steal and have had good luck with HK's equipment. I am parting with my old friend (yamaha rx-v870) and going digital, I hope the sound is as clear and present. I have always been a 2ch kinda guy but what the hell, can't live in the past forever. I am in need of a phono preamp because the HK jackasses didn't include a phono input on this specific receiver, any good suggestions? Thanks for any advice!- audioman00

So, um.... Why not keep a second 2-channel system?

Having two systems is a luxury not everyone can afford. If you're married, you're very lucky to have a spouse that will accept one room dedicated to gear, much less two! Plus there's the added expense of having 7 (or 9) good speakers, 2 amps or receivers, etc- pretty much duplicating everything. That gets spendy unless you're willing to make severe compromises with one of the systems.
