Hi. Ive spent the last couple months researching and modeling a DIY subwoofer, and i think im ready to start building. However, i want to be sure that everything will be fine, so i would like to run the "design" past you all.

The box:

The dimensions are 19x19x20 inches. When the port and brace and driver are added, it totals out to 3.258 cubic feet. I will use a slot port, with dimensions 14x1.5x32.5 inches, which sets the tune at 21.65 Hz. Pictures:

Driver/Amp:

The driver is a Torrent Audio XO-12 DVC. The amplifier will be an Oaudio 500w BASH plate amp. It will be wired in series for a resistance of 8 ohms.

Graphs from WinISD:

(the group delay tops out at around 45 ms, at 18 Hz)

Thats it :D Please let me know if there's something wrong.

Thanks :D

It looks okay.... but... why are you using that driver? It may prove prudent to use a driver that is known to be of extreme linearity/quality such as the Infinity Kappa Perfect VQ 12. For about $60 more, you can be assured of an extreme high quality subwoofer system, assuming a well engineered cabinet.

Not all drivers are equal. In fact, most drivers are not very good at all, and the modeling program can not tell you anything about the quality/linearity of a driver. Most drivers at medium power input/excursion, lose all signs of linearity and behave very differently from the predicted modeled response, and have high distortion also. The recommended Infinity driver remains nearly identical in behavior at both low and high power/excursion. Not many drivers can do this.
