Almost all tweeters, and now a few woofers use ferro fluid.

This magnetic fluid placed in the voice coil gap.

Benefits: -

Conducts heat away from the voice coil. This increases power handling and lowers the incidence of tweeter burn out.

Lowers the Fs of the tweeter, so it can reproduce lower frequencies. This allows a lower crossover point and or lower order filters to be used. I like a tweeter down 24 db by Fs. A tweeter without ferro fluid has an Fs of 1200 to
1500 Hz typically. With ferro fluid they are typically 650 to 1000Hz and some as low as around 500 Hz.
