Feedbacks Needed for a Proposed Room Set up

Hello all,

I need to get all your audioholic opinion on the following setup:

Room: System will be in the family room. There is a fireplace on front wall, two large windows on the side wall, The back is open to the kitchen, and the other side wall is the stairway. Please see attached pictures for the proposed location of the system.

TV: Sony XBR 42" LCD or something comparable w/ HDMI v1.3...any recommendations?

Speakers: BG-6Lci in wall speakers
Receiver: Sony new hdmi 1.3 receiver
DVD: PS3
sub: open to suggestion

That's how I would do it. I assume you have a closet under the stairs where you can run the wires. I have not heard anything good about the Sony receivers. I recently bought an Onkyo TX-SR805.

Only one of you pictures uploaded and it only shows the tv and I think the mains and center?

Would it look weird to have the tv and speakers mounted on a slanted wall? And yes, I do have a stairway closet behind the wall to store all my av equipments.
