Hey guys.
Just wondering what some of your favorite solos are in jazz are. It's a pretty expansive genre, and I think this thread should and can reflect that.
I will post some of mine when I get home.
Please try to post a link to some recording of the solo. When you post them, be sure to explain who is playing what on the solo, when it starts in the piece (time stamp), and explain what you like about the different parts of the solo. Your explanation does NOT have to be limited to the soloist. One of the amazing things about jazz is how much everyone is improvising at the same time. Most people, even musicians, do not realize this.
