The Eagles- Farewell I tour. (also available on HD-DVD, but I don't have that version yet). Great sound and video. You get all the Eagles and their solos,, not just Henley ( a personal gripe I have about the HFO DVD)

Elton John- One Night Only- marginal video quality if your screen is bigger than 42 inches, but it's the Rocket Man at his best

Night Ranger- 7 Wishes tour- may not even be out on anything other than tape, but I still drag it out from time to time for a little flashback. :D

Maybe I would like a bit less Henley on HFO, but it's in the top tier of concert DVDs for me. Also to my ears it equals the best audio quality of of any Concert DVD I have heard.

Eagles HFO & Farewell are my favorites as well. I just wish they would release Farewell on CD/DVD-A/SACD!

I really enjoyed Robin Trower's Living Out of Time and Nektar Live 2002.

Both those videos show that just because they're older doesn't mean they still can't rock as well as they did when they were young. Something I can't say for a lot of their contemporaries.

The absolute best concert videos I own in terms of musical content, audio and video quality are:

Pat Metheny - The Way Up HD DVD
Pat Metheny - Speaking of Now DVD
Peter Gabriel - Secret World DVD
Eric Clapton - One more car one more rider

I have Marillion Marbles but the video quality is porno quality poor and the sound is mediocre at best.

Hey- if she's partially clothed.... :)

As for my list:

Eagles
Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds @ Radio City (The lossless audio track on BD blew me away)
Last Waltz- I love the rendition of the Night They Drove Old Dixie Down
Festival Express- not so much for the high quality, but for the jam sessions that the Dead, Janice Joplin, The Band, etc. all had on the train while stoned to bejeezus

Diana Krall - Live in Paris
Yanni - Accropolis and Yanni Live (Vegas) the latter being very good.
Eagles - Farewell 1 Tour
Josh Groban
John Prine
Roger Whittaker
Elton John - Greatest Hits
Johnny Mathis - 50 years

Recently received Elton 60 on Blu-Ray: Extraordinary Video quality (taped in HD rather than filmed) and 5.1 uncompressed PCM is the best. Exclusive to HD DVD (Universal Pictures), Universal Music Group went Blu-Ray for music! Very long... 2.5 hours! Performance not as good as Greatest Hits made at Madison Square Gardens in 2000. Disappointed, really.

Today or tomorrow receiving Chris Botti - Live in Blu-Ray (already have the SD DVD) and Tony Bennett in Blu-Ray.

Saw Celine Dion's "New Day" in SD DVD, a most unique concert performance. So pleased I've ordered the Blu-Ray version to be released February 5th.

I have the Yanni in Vegas, and it is excellent. I may get the new Celine Dion one, also (I have only recently realized how good she is. Before, I only knew her soundtrack work.) I am not very familiar with Chris Botti, but I like most new age/smooth jazz.

Youtube may be helpful in this case. I use it most of the time when i am not familiar with some artists.

Listen to a Video of Chris Botti at: http://www.sonybmg.com/blu-ray/

Click "Releases" click on the Chris Botti Album then Click the "Video" tab and enjoy.

Guest signers are: Sting, Jill Scott, Paula Cole with Burt Bacharach, Renee Oldstead, Paul Buchanan and Gladys Knight.

A memorable concert experience.
