factory reset Onkyo 702b

I have an Onkyo 702b AVR that I was going to use for a whole house audio amp. It has sat in the closet for about 1 - 1.5 years. when I pulled it out and tested it to make sure that it works OK. I put on the radio and just put it up to a random speaker and I only get a buzzing when I turn up the volume.

Is there a way that an amp can become non working by just sitting. Does anyonne know where once can find the factory reset procedure so that I could reset the amp to factory and see if it still works. Or, if you know of another method on how to test this, I would appreciate it.

Well, I found a way to rest, and I still have the same problem. Is there anyone who has heard of this problem before, or would have any other solutions. Otherwise, that 12 channel Dayton amp is starting to look good.

May be a stupid question, but do you have an antenna connected?

Not an antenna specific wire. I stripped down some speaker wire and plugged it it. It appeared to tune some stations that they showed up as full stero. I will see if I have a specific antenna wire tonight, or just plug it into my antenna / coax cable.
