I have a Samsung HLS5086W and the warranty on it expires in July. I can extend the warranty for $220 for 1 year or $340 for 2 years. I haven't had any problems with it and I assume that I will need to change the lamp at some point.
Replacement lamps are $120 so I am leaning towards not extending it since its cheaper and I don't have to pay anything right now. Are there any issues that Samsung DLP's are known for and therefore should extend the warranty?
