I really respect the technical responses i've recieved and i'll let them fly right over my head without trying to complicate your thoughts. Can the experts take a look at the links included (below) and tell me if the Sub in the HTIB package (first link) can be replaced by the Sony Sub (link below it) that I have as it's succesor if possible? So you don't have to waste anymore of your time on this a definitive YES or NO will end the badgering assault! Thanks for the effort and your time.

I wouldnt think so as the first one is a wireless solution and I doubt the reciever or whatever you want to call it has regular speaker outs or a line level out.....

If the subwoofer is passive, it can't be wireless. If the subwoofer is wireless, it will not work.

If the subwoofer is wired all you need to do is take the wire that runs to the subwoofer, and hook it up to the Left speaker level input.
