As someone without cable, I don't get the Sci Fi channel. However, I just rented the first disc for their show "EUReKA" from Netflix. It only had three episodes on it, but I really enjoyed them. It's about a guy who becomes sheriff in a town full of geniuses that work at a research facility, and there is a lot of original stuff that happens. It's humorous and well written, IMO.

It's also one I enjoy watching. New shows are starting in July, if I'm not mistaken.

Season 1 is out right now, and Season 2 comes out mid-July on Netflix. As for no commercials, woohoo!!! The first disc had a number of videos that SciFi apparently put on the web for this show. Kinda interesting. I don't know if they are on the other discs or not, but I'll find out next week when I get the other two.

The SciFi website has five full episodes of it on their right now, probably from Season 2. I'm going to wait for the DVDs, but if you've already seen part of this season, you might want to see if there are any there that you missed.

Definitely an entertaining watch. Much better than your usual Sci Fi offerings.

I'm digging that they offer the full episodes from this season on scifi.com. Seeing as how I don't get the Sci Fi channel, this lets me watch them before they come out on DVD (probably next summer).

Eureka is one of those shows that I like when I am in the mood for some easy, light entertaining stuff. The Sherriff is good at taking all the weird geeks in stride. I've been watching it on and off on Sci Fi since it came on and it's still pretty good. There's a major character who evaporated last week, but I won't say who.

My wife caught half an episode last night that I had DVR'ed. This morning she actually expressed an interest in it. This is the first show in a long while that I've liked that she's even entertained the notion of watching with me. So it does have some wider appeal. Now if only Sci Fi would actually run it in HD and not 4-sided letterbox .
