Few week ago I was looking to upgrade my Kenwood 3080, I ask advice thinking about wishing to get a Rotel, but the CDN price was a bit hight , 2K. But two week ago I got a great deal for a Denon 3805, $1400 (Canadian !)
brand new and from a authorize dealer ! and thanks to this web site and the review in july 04 Magazine Home Theater, I knew that this was a excellent A\V Receiver.
So for the next few week, I be busy to "tweaking" with it....and if I require some help down the road, I know where to ask.
By the way, I was in my home town last week (Longueuil,Quebec) and I found a company, Solen (
http://www.solen.ca/), who sell a\v cable, speaker cable, banana plug and tons of speaker parts of excellent quality at very good price. Like I got 70 feets of 12 gauge speaker cables and 13 paires of good quality, gold pate banana plug, both for less than $100 buck !
I don't know in the U.S. but from here in Kingston, Ont. we "might" find cheap banana plug for $15 a paire, and we have to search around to find any 12 gauge speaker cable under $1/per feet.
