I am in the process of completing my HT system. The components will all be contained in a standard 19'' rack mounted system (Omnimount RE27). I have been searching for the last few weeks for a rack mountable ethernet switch with ports in the rear. I could not find anything under $1000-everything had the ports mounted in the front.
I know this topic has been discused in other Audioholics Threads so there must be some people searching for a similar product.
A friend turned me on to a company called CP Technologies. They market a 16 port switch (all ports mounted in rear) that is rack mountable. They selll it under the brand name LevelOne and the model is GEU-1628. The MSRP is $235 but with a little bit of searching I found it for $145 deleivered.
Just passing this along in case anybody else was searching for a similar product.
