Sorry if this has already been asked, but does anyone else have problems with ESPN HD? I've checked my signal strength and changed to other channels, but ESPN HD (73) seems to have sound and picture problems quite frequently. Half the time I end up watching the game or show on ESPN (206)because I can't stand the constant skipping and garble. Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks for you help.

ESPN on Time Warner Cable in HD is perfect. I've never had issues with ESPN HD. I'd complain to your cable/sat provider.

Channel 73...Directv! I also have Directv and have found that ESPN HD is one of the best HD channels. I watch Sportscenter, Football games, and Primetime alot and I have never really had problems with the video or the sound. I do have problems with FOX HD but it is probably because I am located far away from there broadcast antenna.

One common problem I do get is the delay in audio on certain channels. No matter how I hook up my HD Receiver it is still the same. Even my Directv standard receivers have the same problems in other rooms of my house. I have called about it a couple of times and there no help. I just hate when someone on TV is done talking and there lips are still moving...

Only problem I have is that it's an HD tier channel, so people have to pay extra per month to get MNF in HD... waaah.... All the networks are free if you have an HD DVR box...

ESPNHD has probably the best combination of picture and sound of all my Time Warner channels.
Easy for me sound like a big shot:cool: ;) . I got a year of the 2nd tier HD channels free for signing up for Digital phone.
Not sure yet if I'll fork out the extra 7 bucks a month after the year is up.

Dave,
I'd say you have a unique problem and should complain to your provider.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll call them tomorrow. The thing that's crazy about it is that it will do it for one show, but not the next... Weird.

Ditto! I too have ESPN HD and ESPN2 HD via DirecTV and have never experienced any problems with either the video nor the audio on these channels. You may have a faulty DirecTV receiver. My first H20 model receiver was faulty and I had to return it for a new one at Best Buy.
