Anyone own one of these? Like it? What size screen are you using?

I can't find anything on Epson's site about if it will handle 1080p/24 naively.

This seems to be the one I'm going to set my sights on, unless someone can convince me the 6800 is 50% better for 50% more money. I will be using this on a screen in the neighborhood of 100" unless the WAF gets too high and I have to kick it down to 84" (wall logistics)

Thanks.

I would go through the reviews, but in a dedicated space where you can actually get the most out of a projector, the 6500 is better and accepts 1080p/24 which it uses 5:5 pulldown (or frame interpolation) with.

The 6100 does not, and uses organic LCD panels which could affect projector life.

Which is better? The 6500 has contrast ratio and black levels which are better. This is what you will really notice in a dark home theater. But, if you are in less than ideal conditions, the 6100 packs a walop with extra brigthness which few other 1080p projectors can touch - especially for the money.

Rarely do you need the brightness for an 84" or even 100" screen. Unless you plan to watch in high ambient light situations.

The 6500 is the WTG IMO. Don't buy a screen until you try out the PJ on your wall and get a feel for what size you really want.
