Sound but no picture on 3 of 4 devices.
I have a Epson 5030ube projector, 137" screen. 5 devices outputting to it.
1/ Apple TV -- HDMI cable w/arc -- no picture
2/ Panasonic Blue Ray --- HDMI cable w/arc -- no picture, good sound
3/ 2nd Panasonic Blue Ray --- HDMI cable w/arc -- no picture, good sound
4/ Bell satellite receiver -- HDMI cable w/arc -- everything works great
5/ Older Pioneer DVD -- composite video/ & optic cable -- everything works great
Have tried all devices directly to the projector (bypassing receiver) -- same result
Have tried 2 receivers, Pioneer Elite and Yamaha Aventage.
Projector says HDMI 1 not supported, yet 2 of the devices display great pictures, with sound.
Updated all firmware on everything but projector, haven't got there yet.
I am stumped, does anybody have any ideas??
Thanks

Have you tried a different/short HDMI cable?

Do the Epson menus appear as they are supposed to? Any issues with those menus?

With the source that works, is resolution set to 1080p or 1080i?

My initial feeling is that, perhaps, the other sources are putting out 1080p video at 60hz which is twice the data than a 1080i cable box would deliver, and it can't make it to the projector over the cable which is in place.

Was there ever a time when this did work with the cable which is in place?

Audio making it to your A/V receiver indicates that audio output is fine. The fact that video makes it from the cable box exclusively indicates that it likely is cabling related. It COULD be HDCP related, but probably not as the cable box should enforce HDCP.

Grab that AppleTV and a 6 foot HDMI cable and plug it in right at the projector and see if you get an image.

Start by testing all projector inputs with your AppleTV using a high quality HDMI cable. If everything is fine then maybe a cabling issue. If not, then its a problem with your sources.
