Energy Take Classic Issue...

Hey everyone, new member, just purchased the Energy Take Classic 5.1 and also bought a Onkyo Tx-Sr804 to power it. Im brand new to the HT scene so please forgive me if i sound like an idiot...
Anyways, so far I connected all the speaker wires and Im guessing I did them correctly because when I went into the speaker settings in the Onkyo setup and did the speaker dB test, they all made sounds including the subwoofer.
Now here are the many problems or I guess questions I can hopefully get answers to...
1) I connected my PS3, my Samsung HDTV and my Comcast cable box to the receiver through HDMI with the TV being in the HDMI out slot. For some reason, I cant get any audio when watching cable.
2) When using the PS3, only the two Front speakers work and not the center or the surround speakers work. But like I said earlier, its not the speakers because they worked when I did the test through the onkyo setup. I went into the Audio Settings in the PS3 and saw that it was set to 2.1 so I changed it to 5.1 but it still doesnt work...
3) Lastly, the Subwoofer doesnt work...When the test was being done, it wokred perfectly fine and sounded great but it doesnt work when im using the PS3 or watching TV.

Can anybody please please help a poor newbie to home theater systems?

1. Check cable STB for HDMI audio output in its menu setup.
2. Slim or Fat? Fat can only do LPCM output. Slim, really doesn't matter, the receiver doesn't decode the new lossless formats so it should be set for LPCM for BD and Bitstream for regular DD/DTS on DVDs.
3. Check speaker setup, all speakers set Small, crossover set to 120Hz.

The 804 uses HDMI 1.1 standard. I'm a little rusty on this so I'm not sure if it will handle the decoded LPCM of the BD or not.
