Saw this good deal from a deal site. Vann's via amazon has Energy RC-50 3-Way Floorstanding Speaker - Rosenut Veneer at $349.88

Are the Rc's that much better than the C models? The price is quite a bit different.

The Rosenut and Cherry veneer of the RC lineup have been completely phased out (hence why the clearout prices) and I'm not sure how long the Blackash will remain in production either? As for the higher cost of the RC's they use better drivers and components and IMO the real wood veneer was more than enough for me.

The entire RC line was cancelled when Klipsch bought API. The only RC's you'll find anywhere are the final stock sell-offs.

That's what I thought, but it appears there's plenty of black ash in stock( at least here in Canada) and the prices have somewhat levelled off, unlike the fire sale which took place last year....
