Hey guys, ive hit a snag in my home theatre design. I've decided to go with a full matching set of 7.1 speakers. As you can see from my current setup of mismatched speakers (most of which i made at the age of 17
), is not really cutting it for the sound quality that i want with my home theare. My room setup isnt ideal for that matter, but this will be futureproofing my entire theatre.
I was wondering what you guys think of the energy C-Series. I can get a really good discount on them right now (i work at futureshop, go ahead, everyone laugh.....done? no? ok....... im a broke university kid, what can i say
). Would it be worth getting a setup of 4 C-500's and the RC's for the surround rears? I really like the idea of this system.
I dont have the money for the RC-Series, so that is out of the question.
Option two, DIY over the summer. Im in the process of my sub, and i know speakers a whole other world, but should i bother getting into it? I think the energys will cost me all of $1000 for 6 speakers, i have the centre already.
ANyways, im just looking for everyones 2 cents, as you've been extremely helpful in the design of my subwoofer.
