Energy 5.1 Classic Take on Floor?

The "satellites" in this system look like bookshelf speakers and thus won't fit on my desk, can I put them on the floor (in a 5.1 surround setup) instead of being desk level?

They should be a little higher than ear level i believe. Check out some speaker stands from omnimount, or you could conjure up something using bar stools or something else stable.

You can put 'em on the floor, but understand,

...they'll sound like drek. Around ear level is good.

Hang 'em on the wall if you're that tasked for desk space or can't do stands.
