Been on sale for a few days now and I actually just got my pair today.

I did call EMP Tek to confirm that these are in fact A-stock speakers. Brian had said it's just an overstock that they are clearance-ing out at $275/pair with free shipping.

Loving the red burl finish as well...

That is a nice looking speaker!
Kind of upset that I sold my Mirage OMD-5's now, they had the rosewood finish that matches these very well.

It's too bad the 55's weren't clearanced too or I'd have a set of those on their way. On the other hand, maybe it's a good thing they're not...

How are you liking them after a week or so?

I enjoy them, I like the looks of them also. As I have seen other people note about these speakers, they look like they cost a lot more than they do, especially at this $275 price point.

I have them set up as "front wides" in a system which rarely leaves All Channel Stereo. I have them running off the surround channels of my 809, but they are next to my KEF's in the front due to space issues. So really there's not a whole lot I can attest to the quality of the speaker alone. I did run them for a few days as L/R without my KEF's hooked up at all and I did like that, although the KEF's do dig a bit lower when needed. Not that it means very much, but my roommate had no idea that only the EMP's were running by themselves for those days, even when turned up to decent levels...

This is how I have my speakers configured, typically running in All Ch Stereo, as I mentioned.

I was very surprised, and very happy, with the the build quality and finish of these speakers. The sound was way better than I had imagined. For $275 a pair, these are excellent speakers and way under priced. To me, they were every bit as good as the Monitor Audio Silver ($1200 a pr.) speakers I auditioned.
Unfortunately, one of the tweeters in the E5Ti's had a buzz that I just couldn't get over, so I sent them back and ordered a pair of E55Ti's. Also in the red burl.
It's hard to say what caused the noise in the tweeter, but I have to say, EMP was great to deal with and I highly recommend them. They are after all the same company that makes RBH.

My new E55Ti's should be here today and I'm looking forward to hooking them up.
