Will Audioholics be reviewing the new pre-pro UMC-1 from Emotiva once it becomes available?

Edit: I'm not asking this to stir the pot, only curious because, as a newcomer here, I've come to trust the objective opinions expressed by many of this forums posters and moderators.

I hope so. I am highly interested in swapping my Onkyo NR906 for a combination of the UMC-1 and one of their 7 channel amps if the UMC-1 handles Zones how I need.

I'm sure they will as there is a lot of anticipation about this.

If I was you, I'd simple use the 906 as a prepro(fantastic unit) and hook up an amp to that. A brand new prepro, the UMC-1, usuallly has bugs that need to be worked out, at least that's been the way things are for new prepro releases from all of the manufacturers.

After several months, it would become apparent whether this prepro is going to be bug free or not.

Thanks for the suggestion, but that's not why I want it.

The Onkyo can't pass HDMI sources to its Zone 2 video out, and its Zone 2 video out is only composite. I want an AVR or pre/pro that can pass to a Zone 2 component video (or HDMI, not possible yet) output. Right now, the UMC-1 looks like my only bet. Apparently the Yammy Z7 can't do it.
