Hi All. I'm trying to decide between these two subs. I realize they are about the same as far as power, etc. I was wondering if the HSU is worth the more money, seeing how the Emotiva is on sale right now.
My room is big, and I know I need a bigger sub than either of these, but its not in the budget right now, nor are two subs. I'm replacing an older B&W as6. I may even keep that one as a second sub. My room is a BIG open floor plan. Roughly 10,000 cubic feet, with hard wood floors, very "live" to say the least. Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you for your time.

My suggestion is save up until your budget can handle bigger subs than the two you picked, and start thinking about more than one sub in a space that big.

If you're determined to get one of those two, I'd get the HSU, and place it nearfield - you need all the output you can get.

I agree. You'll need a lot more subwoofer(s) for that space. Forget the Ultra 12s, at least a pair of VTF-2s.

If they do get back in stock this month, the Epik Legend would be a better choice in a large room. For a room that size, I'd actually be looking at the Empire, but you could add a second Legend down the road.
