I hope Emotiva does not stretch themselves too thin. With their existing line, Sherbourn, Pro line and now this they have a ton going on. Still no top level pre and they are out buying up other companies. I would really like to see them concentrate on getting the products out they have promised instead of heading into the tube world.

Business is business though. If it makes business sense for them to do it, then good for them. They may get stretched thin for a bit, but hopefully for the better in the long run.

When I attended the roadshow, the acquisition was discussed by Dan. Apparently he was good friends with Bob Carver and their experience working together in the past lead to Bob asking him to get involved with the company. Dan did state that Emotiva would like to do the same for the tube business, (provide tube solutions at affordable pricing so the general enthusiast can enjoy)

Given the fact that Emotiva is such a small company, I also have concerns that they might start to stretch too thin. I just would like them to complete the XMC-1. I am really interested to see if it turns out to be everything Dan stated it was going to be. I do know they are going to take their sweet time as he stated he does not want to repeat past errors made.
