At Emotiva Lounge, a forum for Emotiva products, there is talk of this single 12" to go along with the Dual 12".

I thought you might like to see what the sub looks like. The pics make it look huge, but it is really only 14 x 14 x 16, so it is really pretty small. Also it is slated to sell for between 699.00 to 799.00 (their are some details that need to be worked out before we have the exact price). It has a power factor corrected off line switching power supply coupled to a class d amplifier (right now it is an 800 watt amp but this may change). The front end circuitry is a full DSP (not the conventional analog setup) so it has all the usual features as well as auto room correction, dual EQ modes (Music and Movie) and much more.

Enjoy!

Thats a pretty slick looking unit there....

Cool... Now they just need to come out with a 15" like that...
Im sure that would go over really well...

I like the Dual 12 system more. Better bang for the buck. Still, a good unit for them money.

Now where is the Measurements?!

I like how the amp has lots of adjustment features, but the one thing I find kinda neat, but kinda odd at the same time is the selector for Music and Movies. I think it's a good idea, but I wouldn't want to turn that knob everytime I switched between music and movies.

Thats a high pass filter adjustment I would imagine... Music rarely goes down to 20hz, unless its big A$$ pipe organs... so they implement a cutoff.

I like the vertical orientation of the adjustments on top and cable inputs on the bottom of the amp, so you'll be able to push the sub against a wall on that side if necessary and be able to look over the top to make adjustments and not have to pull the sub completely away from the wall. That's a very nice touch IMO.

Sort of - since it is full DSP, it is probably a completely different curve that accentuates the low end for movies and midbass for music. Looks like an aluminum baffle as well.

Totally Agree! With a DPS-12, some controls are on the front, but the Xover is on the back. It's a pain in the butt, especially when the subwoofer is so long.

+1 for Emotiva.
