Emotiva RPA-1 opinions?

Hi all.
I currently have a Yamaha RX-V2700 driving a pair of Mirage M760 floorstanders (circa 1989). I'm extremely pleased, but I'll be looking to purchase new speakers soon.
So far I'm considering Energy RC70's and Rocket 850's (leaning towards the Rockets). While movie soundtracks get the most play, excellent music playback is also important. If I go with the Rockets, I'll also add the Big Foot center. Not sure about surrounds yet. I have 4 Mirage Omnisat v2 sats which I've been figuring on using ceiling mounted, but that may change to in-ceiling (building a new house, and side surrounds on the ceiling are no problem, but not sure I'll like them for rear surrounds as they'd have to mount on the ceiling in the breakfast area. Not sure I'll like how that looks.).
I've been considering the RPA-1 to drive the left and right mains. Any opinions on whether I'd get sufficient improvement over the Yammie driving the Rockets? The Yammie does a great job now with my old Mirage speaks.
Is it really worth adding the RPA-1?
Thanks. :)

Maybe/maybe not

Jack, have a look at my thread under Emotiva, thumbs up. I have the 2500 as a pre/pro now and its awesome but it all depends on your gear. I have Klipsch speaks and it made a big difference. Cannot speak for others.
