Emotiva LMC1/LPA1 owners

Just wanting to hear from those of you who actually live with these products on a daily basis. I ran a search and didn't come across much. I have a couple questions if you don't mind

1 - Overall look of the product? cheapo or BALLER
2 - Sound performance? I'm 99% movies so music doesn't matter much
3 - Any issues with the HDMI swithing?

Any issues you've had with the product and how has emotiva service taken care of you?

Hello,

Just joined the site and bought the Emotiva Ultra Theater.

The LPA/LMC-1 are well built and sound great. I have not tried the HDMI switcher.

The big issue I have with them is the noise that comes through my speakers.
My speakers (Celestions, 90 Sensitivity) have the hissing coming through them. It is very noticeable at low vulume levels, especially when playing a stereo CD. I have blue jeans cables connecting the two components. My 10 year old H/K Pro-logic receiver does not have this problem. I'm going to call Emotiva tomorrow because this is unacceptable.

I was reading another thread on Emotiva gear and remember a guy saying he had a similar problem and it was some kind of feedback from a lamp. Might wanna unplug some other stuff on that circuit...either way it is unacceptable.
