Just to be sure, the LMC-2 isn't out yet is it? I love my 115 lb amp. ^_^

The LMC-2 is not out yet. I think they're a month or two away.

That sherbourn 200 WPC X 7 Amp sound very similar to the MPS-2:

Chassis: 33.000 lbs x 1 = 33.000 lbs
Power Module: 12.125 lbs x 7 = 84.875 lbs
Total Weight = 117.875 lbs

That's a lot of weight for an amp.

I cannot believe Mark Levinson's monoblock amps are 220 lbs each!
How would you like 220 lbs x 7 = 1,540 lbs just for the amps?

I think my foundation would crack just from the weight. It would be nice to have an amp next to each speaker or maybe some Mackie's with built in amps, but I did not wire for that so no can do in this house. It wouldn't sound that much different to me and definitely not worth the money, but if someone were to give me 7 I wouldn't turn them away and might even redrywall. ^_^

I think any pre-pros from Emotiva or Outlaw will sound great.

The Parasound 7100 pre-pros has awesome specs for a pre-pros (F.R. 20Hz-20kHz +/-0.1dB, Crosstalk -105dB, SNR > 105dB, THD < 0.005%, Output Impedance 120 ohms), but it also does not have all the new surround sound codecs (TrueHD, DTS-MA) and it costs like $2K.

So I think your earliest best bet will be the Emotiva LMC-2, which is suppose to come out sometime in March for around $600 (I heard). 4 HDMI-1.3, TrueHD, DTS-MA-- it's got it all for an unbelievable price and 5 yr warranty. Knowing Emotiva, the build quality, fit & finish will also be top notch.

There's always the very well reviewed Integre 9.8, but that's $1600 which isn't worth it to me. I believe it's one of the few that's out now that does everything.

Spec-wise, the Integra 9.8 looks very average to me:
FR: 5 HZ - 100 KhZ +1, -3dB (not that great)
SNR: 110dB (great)
THD: 0.05% (good)
Output Impedance: 470 ohms (bad).

Overall spec-impression: NOT WORTH my $$.

I mean when people tell you that some product sounds great, you have to wonder if it's pure subjective opinion, which could be totally influenced by a lot of things. They have to back it up with good numbers too IMO.:D
