Good day fellas. I am in the process of changing my amplifier and don't want to break the bank. I was advised to go for Outlaw as they are good amps and has lots of headroom as compared to some more expensive ones. I suddenly tumbled on Emotiva Basx-A700. I read pretty good reviews on it as well. I have used the UPA-500 and very pleased with it. Is there anyone who has experienced both bands even if not the same models to advise me? My speakers are Klipsch RP-280F. I know they are sensitive but want to get a better amp for them.

I have not used either one. Based on available specs, the Outlaw seems better. S&V bench tested the Outlaw.

The Outlaw 7125 amp is made by ATI. So definitely get the Outlaw.

In case you don't know, ATI makes some amps for a lot of companies (Mark Levinson, Lexicon, Carry Audio). ATI also owns Theta Digital and B&K.

The Outlaw 7125 is discontinued. If the OP can find one, he should pick it up fast.:)

The Outlaw 7125 has been replaced by the Model 7140, with a power rating of 140 watts/ch at 8 ohms. This represents close to only ½dB more power than that of the 7125.

$1100 for the 7140 vs $600 for the A700....not really an apples to apples comparison either in power or price...
