Too bad they didn't have something like this for new Emotiva customers! I just bought 2 new Yammie AV Receivers and would gladly eBay both of them for a great deal on Emotiva Gear!

I believe this works for new customers as well. Buy their existing processor now, and upgrade to newer stuff later.

That's my take on it. The discount is not for current products, but for the new stuff coming out next year and anyone buying now is eligible for the future discount. A pretty good way for them to clean out the inventory and raise capital.

I called and spoke to the people at Emotiva. The discount is for anyone that owns any of the three processors listed, or for anyone that purchases them from now on out. They told me from now on out, anyone that owns one of the 3 will get the discount. And the same will go for the newer models. So pretty much if you use there processors you will get the 40% discount anytime you upgrade them to a newer model.

I got the same info from Lonnie at Emotiva and I must say that I'm thoroughly impressed with their customer service! He answered all of my questions and took the time to listen to me describe my current listening area and setup, and made recommendations on gear and told me about the new processors that current owners will be eligible to buy for 40% off.

The last time I was in a HIFI shop (4 months ago), the manager told me that it looks my fiance "has me by the short hairs" because I wanted to audition mid-priced gear and not their top of the line, super expensive stuff. Not only was his overly elitist attitude a turn-off, but he insulted me to my face when I was ready to drop money at his store! With top-notch support, free shipping and liberal in-home auditions, companies like Emotiva, Aperion Audio, AV 123, etc. are making it increasingly hard for me to allocate time to B&M stores when it comes to buying gear. The new generation of e-tailers and forums such as this are raising the bar when it comes pursuits such as the one all of use here share.

Now, all I have to do is justify buying even more gear...!

Hope I win that $200 voucher. I wonder if I will get the combo discount(bought the MPS1) and be able to use the voucher, most likely not. Anyway, I'm waiting to see If I win one and buy my new DMC1 in April.

Then sell the DMC1 and get the new model next year....this is a sickness with no cure except more gear..

It says specifically in the contest that the coupon is not usable with other offers. So no, you can't get 40% off and then use the $200 coupon.
