I just find out a other good thing about the remote of the 3805. Last night we ( wife and kids ) watch "Back to the Future" and right in the middle of it we lost the electricity, not only our street but a big part of west Kingston,Ont. It was pitch black in our theatre, we could see your hand at few inch from the nose; until I bump the foot rest were the remote was! And Bam ! We could see, so I grab it and point in to the door. We could see enough to walk out the theatre, up the stair, to the kitchen to get out candle. Not a "official" recommended use of the remote; but who can say that's not COOL ?

Yeah, that remote's gotta be good for something! E-mail Denon and tell them that their remote saved the lives of your family! :D

Gotta love the glow in the dark remotes.

I had to use one of mine for kind of the same purpose. Lost power in the wee hours of the AM. Not a problem, would have normally rolled over and went back to sleep, but the gosh darn APC was chirping in the other room. So I grabbed my glow in the dark remote from the Sony WEGA and stubbled into the computer room to shut off the APC.

Not as dramatic as saving the family from the basement, but netherless it was just as fun.

I'm glad someone found a use for that POS. The only thing I use it for is programming my MX 500.

I hear that. Denon need to go back to drawing board for the remote on the next model. I have a case of stubbyitis and i'm always pushing the wrong button, it's the only complaint I have with my 3805 though.
