I've been looking into buying a set of Uni-Fi UB5's but might not be able to give them enough space away from my wall due to my room layout. I was wondering if anyone had heard of or used either of Elac's bass control features that help reduce ported air movement out the back of the speaker.
I'm not sure how placing these speakers close to a wall will affect the acoustics with or without plugging the port. I have adequate power right now that could probably drive +3db (the quoted loss from plugging the port) in bass range without any issues.
Any thoughts on this?
