I've read just about every Behringer A500, EP2500, and "pro amp" thread on the board, and I'm pretty sold on the EP1500/2500 line for my application unless I can find a brace of Marantz MA-500 monoblocks for about $50 a piece(not likely)
But it appears that the EP1500 has been replaced by the EP2000, and EP2500 by the EP4000 earlier this year although 1500/2500s are still available.
My initial application for these amps are for my rear and side surround channels, which for our small theater room, the EP1500 should be more than sufficient.
So my question is two-fold:
1) Are the new models of the same quality as the 1500/2500 line?
2) What the benefits of the new models over the 1500/2500?
