You can only go around saying whatever you want in the form of a "joke" for so long before it catches up with you. I’ve spent my life watching words come out of my mouth thinking, I shouldn’t have said that, while the retribution begins to crush me under its imposing and fully justified wrath. Examples? How 'bout the time I told a girlfriend that her "signature" dish that she worked on all day tasted just like that taste you get in your mouth after throwing up. Or the time some friends came over with a guy from another country and after a few hours of saying nothing to anyone, I looked over at him and said, "So why are you here anyways?"

Heh, I sometimes feel that way too....like right now, as I am waiting for my new hinge set for my laptop to come in the mail...yeah, the hinges both broke off on it...

....right now my laptop is held together with duct tape (not joking...it makes me a sad panda)....even worse is I cannot close the lid.

Then we have my DVD changer, which now insists on me hitting eject 3 times rapidly otherwise it refuses to open the tray.

monday the water heater went thermo and way overheated the water...again....second time in a month....I still have burns on my shins from that...

...and my universal remote control's learning function is no longer working...so I have to find my inner zen nerd and get this blasted thing to allow me to switch inputs on my reciever, as well as perform disc changes on my DVD player.

Honestly, I think one night when walking to the bathroom, I might have kicked a gremlin in the tenders or something...because even Karma tends to not be this annoying.
