Calling TLS and others with knowledge of ancient audio goodies.

The item in question is a 9/10 condition Ediphone table top payer from the early twentieth century, and lots of music cylinders to go with it, some warped, but most in good condition. It works.

Any ideas on value of this?

You are talking about the dictating machine? I have one with the cabinet that is in really good shape, I believe it is marked 1920, its the tall Shaver unit I paid $225 at an estate auction about 5 years ago... I would imagine in great shape a table top unit {I am not familiar with, is this just missing the cabinet?} would be around $100, if its just the top missing the cabinet then $50... not positive though, a table top unit may be super rare and worth a lot more.. I don't know a ton about them, I have a lot of old Jukes, so my collection spilled over to gramophones, his masters voice and some old Victors then spilled over into military gramo's and military hats, and phones... It was getting silly so I stopped it before the house and my office turned into a museum...
