You can get equal performance for less money from other companies. M&K, HSU, VMPS, SVS will have something that for the same money may actually outperform it. I know a VMPS Larger SUB is capable of 20hz tone bursts at 118db! Nasa bought some just for that purpose as nothing else available at the time could perform like this and the woofers cannot bottom out. A friend has an M&K with dual 12's in a fairly good sized room and that thing sounds excellent and has power to spare. Dynaudio though makes very good quality speakers and it's upto you and your pocket book. Buying used off of audiogon is a great way to go imo. That way you really have nothing to lose. Personally I'd stay away from subs with servos as there's more problem with these than the average person knows. The best bet is to design a low distortion sub without having to count on servo's to magically correct bad performance. I heard a Velodyne with a servo that did sound very good but was priced high for it's performance.
