If they carry Dynaudio, why don't they carry their subs?

Does that dealer actually have the Sapphire in stock? I thought they were out of stock and it was a one-time run.
Dynaudio may make spectacular speakers, but their subs don't hold a candle to JL Audio in that department... The Dealer knows what they are doing...

I did some checking on the Excite, and it looks like Dynaudio made them able to be driven easier, so people don't need a 4-ohm stable amps to drive the

Maybe not in terms of what they can stock and wow people with, because the JLs certainly have better output for the dollar ... but the Dynaudio subs do sound spectacular in my opinion, do give them a listen sometime I think you will find it worthwhile! They look elegent too... high WAF.

I love your speakers.

In fact, when I auditioned them, they sounded superior to Evidence towers I heard at the same store. Which would seem absurd, but it just goes to show that the room and setup are everything, IMO.
Was the main improvement a clearer midrange with truer timbrel accuracy, thus having great mid-range realism?

If so, I suspect the large Evidence towers had significant resonance, and the small monitors, with far smaller surface area to radiate sound, improved this aspect considerably.

Agreed.... I don't know about Dyn's other speakers, but their bookshelf speakers like the Contour S 1.4 had just phenomenal build quality, the thing was a tank... I was extremely impressed with the weight and cabinet structure with the driver removed.

I know that the 700 series is in the same category as the Focus. But the delealer having knowledge of the focus let me audition B&W 800 series Floorstanders instead and they didn't even come close. The dealer, being an honest salesman said that the B$W are not really that speacial and doesnt really "do it" for him:D BTW after much auditioning I finally bought The Dyn contour 3.4s and now already thinking about getteing the C2s or the sapphires.;)
If you're serious about wanting a pair of C2's, there's a local owner here in St Louis that'll be selling his soon with a matching center channel.

He's replacing them with my speakers ... just had to throw that in :D

But seriously, if you're looking for a pair write me.

Well, the amount of bass needed is totally subjective and in a small room, smaller is definitely better. I don't know if you have listened to the Dyn subs in a house but it's one of the most even sounding woofers I have heard. I know JL makes great speakers but for delivering smooth, deep bass in a small package that doesn't overpower the rest of the system, the Dyn is a good choice.

Do you have these or did you see them at Lev's?
