I don't know if a DVR but here is a Video card for a computer LINK

Or

USB Link

Cannot find any info on passthrough but I do see many people with issues based on the hardware requirements.

You likely will have HDCP issues if you attempt to do this with HDMI. HDMI simply does not allow for recording of almost anything due to copyright projection embedded within almost every signal.

You can get a number of component video recorders which will allow for HD recording via component video and appear to have video in/out on the stand alone boxes.

I just read the description it says it passes video.

It says 2 hours of HD recording, I am thinking that I will want to record some football games but those are 3 hours not sure if I can add more memory or maybe they make larger ones?
thanks
