I recently won the DVI switcher from this board and wanted to thank both Audioholics and DVIGear.
The switche overall is working great. The video is crisp and its easy to use. I now get to take a set of cables out of my wall.
It only has one quirk that is either just this unit or all, im not sure. If I change sources to the DVD player the switch will change over to source 2 but not release the source 1 video feed. That is If I am watching cable and go to DVD the DVD will not come on until I power down the cable box. Oddly if I want to go back to the Cable box from DVD the issue is not there.
It is easily overcome with a macro on my remote, to power down the cable box and power it back up at the end of the system change over to DVD. I spke to DVIGear and they were very responsive asked a few questions and are looking into it.
Overall this switch is well worth the pirce. If you have a on the wall set and a mass of cables in the wall its a no brainer. I now get a much better pic on my DVD VIA DVI. The brightness is an amazing jump and clarity makes me wish I had this years ago.
