DVI to HDMI, What type do I need?

I'm getting the motorola 6214 DVR box in a efw days. I won a DVIGEAR HDMI Cable, (THANK YOU) and the TV has HDMI input. The Box has an DVI output.
I want to get the adaptor to use both, but i dont know what to order. I cant find much online about the box. So I am trying to see if the DVI on the cable box is a male or F output.
Anyone know?
or does the Box have HDMI out?
